The High Performance Rodeo and City of Calgary Public Art Program present

Limelight

Sans façon

On a normal city street, on a night like any other, a spotlight appears... and the street becomes a stage. A few dance steps become an instant spectacle; a kiss turns into a film scene.

Limelight is a public art installation by artistic duo Sans façon that replaces two existing street lights with theatre spotlights, inviting passers-by to seize a moment in the limelight and unleash their inner performers.

Sans façon - the duo of French architect Charles Blanc and British artist Tristan Surtees - are in Calgary for an 18-month residency as part of the Watershed+ project, with the Utilities and Environmental Protection Public Art Plan.

PLUS: Join Charles and Tristan on January 15th for the Limelight Artist Talk.

Limelight: Saturday night from Sans façon.
