What The Thunder Said
One Yellow Rabbit
Illuminating T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land
Calgary, Canada
As a culture what have we learned from WW1? What echoes and parallels persist a century later?
On the centenary of the First World War, the award-winning hometown One Yellow Rabbit Ensemble teams up with esteemed Canadian theatre artist, Peter Hinton - for the world premiere of What The Thunder Said.
The performance triptych examines the turbulent first quarter of the twentieth century. Using T.S. Eliot's iconic poem, The Waste Land, for inspiration, language and illumination, the One Yellow Rabbit Ensemble examines lament, the struggle for hope, and beauty amidst the damage in the aftermath of the First World War.
Please be advised that haze is used in What The Thunder Said.
