Artist Bio


Kunji Ikeda aims to redefine narratives of the body and show how physical communication can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. In February 2020, Ikeda was invited into the rehearsal process of Akram Khan’s new work Creature with the English National Ballet. He was named an Artist in Residence at the Banff Centre 2019 and is currently developing a dance theatre adaptation of Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment.



Spotted At The High Performance Rodeo 


Kunji Ikeda has been part of many High Performance Rodeo festivals as part of the festival team and as a performer.  Appearances include Freak Show, Site-Specific Spectacular, and the 10–Minute Play Festival.  Ikeda has also served as Artist and Industry Liaison under Michael Green in 2010.  Ikeda was last seen on our stages in the 2019 High Performance Rodeo in Sanei: The Storyteller.
