All restrictions for One Yellow Rabbit, the High Performance Rodeo and venues inside of Arts Commons will officially be lifted on Friday April 8, 2022.

View the full statement here.

On that date, One Yellow Rabbit will no longer require proof of vaccination upon entering the Big Secret Theatre or other venues for our events. We will continue to highly encourage attendees to wear masks while inside, but it is also no longer mandatory.

One Yellow Rabbit staff, including High Performance Rodeo Front of House and Box Office staff, will continue to be masked.

This update includes Big Secret Theatre, as well as other venues inside of Arts Commons; Engineered Air Theatre, Jack Singer Concert Hall, Martha Cohen Theatre, Max Bell Theatre, and Motel Theatre.  Audience members should note that such policies may vary depending on the event and should always consult the producing company’s website.

Refreshments will be available for purchase at One Yellow Rabbit and High Performance Rodeo events and can be enjoyed from your seat inside of the Big Secret Theatre.

As circumstances evolve, we will continue to evaluate current policies and practices.  These could be subject to modifications as conditions change.

Surfaces and Air Circulation - Big Secret Theatre and Arts Commons

In addition to increased frequency of routine cleaning, as recommended by Alberta Health Services, venues, high-traffic areas, and frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized before, during, and after every event, in every venue. Energy-efficient MERV 15A air filters (used in general areas of hospitals) have been installed to optimize air quality throughout the building.

Air Sterilization - Big Secret Theatre and Arts Commons

Within Big Secret Theatre and throughout Arts Commons an Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) solution has been implimented in the building. This technology provides effective air sterilization through ultraviolet germicidal lights that produce short-wavelength light that destroys the genetic material in the nucleus of cells of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and molds. The UVGI system is installed in the ducts of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems and irradiates the small airborne particles containing microorganisms as the air flows through the return air ducts in the spaces. Treating the air at these locations also ensures that air exhausted from the building is also sterilized.
