Postponing the 35th Annual High Performance Rodeo

One Yellow Rabbit has had to postpone the 35th annual High Performance Rodeo, Calgary’s International Festival of the Arts scheduled for January 13 to the 31, 2021. Following the guidance of the Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health and expert advice it became clear that our ability to produce a meaningful or economically feasible festival in a safe manner is simply not possible at this time.

Although we will not be welcoming you into our festival venues in January know that we are all well, have adjusted our operations and budgeting to meet the challenge, and are presently working on new opportunities in creative ways to bring you leading local, national and international artists while looking forward to when we can welcome you back safely into our venues. You can count on us to keep in touch with news of our plans and ongoing work as we wait out this time and look to set the stage for your return to our venues.

In honouring what would have been the 35th Anniversary of our first festival, One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo presents WHO ARE YOU NOW? Thirty-Five For Thirty-Five, a curated collection of the work of 35 artists presented online for free in January and February. 

We are exploring and developing additional programming that may include online performance, exhibits, artist talks and other creations from artists you love from past and future High Performance Rodeo.
