Rodeo 2012 Leak #1: UBUNTU (The Cape Town Project)

Since 2009, the Rodeo has proudly partnered with Theatre Calgary to present shows like Frankenstein, No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre and Billy Bishop Goes to War. We're back together in 2012 for another stunning co-production: UBUNTU (The Cape Town Project) by Toronto's Theatrefront!

In South Africa, ubuntu refers to the spirit of community, the belief that humanity is tied together. In this international collaboration of Canadian and South African artists, a man and woman, continents apart, are drawn together to discover the secrets of their past. This tale of ghosts and the ties that bind is told with spirited storytelling, music and dance.

Presented by Theatre Calgary and the High Performance Rodeo, UBUNTU (The Cape Town Project) runs January 11-15, 2012. Tickets will be on sale in Spring 2011; watch this space for updates!
