Mouthpiece

Quote Unquote Collective

Interweaving a cappella harmony, dissonance, text and physicality - Mouthpiece is a harrowing, humorous and heart-wrenching journey into the female psyche.

Mouthpiece follows one woman, for one day, as she tries to find her voice. The push and the pull, the past and the present, the progress and the regression: this is the inner conflict that exists within a modern woman’s head. Interweaving a cappella harmony, dissonance, text and physicality – Mouthpiece is a harrowing, humorous and heart-wrenching journey into the female psyche.

Nominated for six Dora Mavor Moore Awards and winner of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble and Outstanding Sound Design/Composition, Mouthpiece made its world premiere at the Theatre Centre in Toronto in April 2015. Mouthpiece has been touring across Canada throughout 2016/17 making stops in the Yukon, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia.
