The Curious Yellow Shop serves as the Rodeo’s official educational and developmental program, with the primary aim of connecting established and emerging artists to create new works. This initiative includes a series of free public workshops and presentations for the community, led by festival artists. It also offers artist development sessions and residencies.

The purpose of The Curious Yellow Shop is to cultivate fresh relationships, networks, and opportunities for established, emerging, and underserved artists. Through professional development workshops provided to artists, community members, and students in Calgary, we aspire to establish a vibrant hub of activity. This hub will serve to inspire creators, audiences, and partners, encouraging them to delve deeper into our industry and the creative work being produced.

Sponsored by cSPACE Projects. Led by our 2024 Outreach Artist, Jamie Dunsdon, with the collaboration of Elena Belyea, Dustin Harvey, Louise Casemore and others.

Sign-up links for workshops will be available in early January.
